Create a stunning modern retro chic look with this bridal headband with veil. For this cool bride look I've combined an ivory satin Alice band with a hand-tailored Merry Widow birdcage style veil.
The Raye bridal headband with veil is such a simple way to wear this modern bride look without having to worry about how to attach your birdcage veil to your hair. There's no need for clips or combs - simply lower the whole piece onto your head and you'll be aisle-ready in moments!
For this design I carefully hand-tailored this ivory English Merry Widow veiling before sewing it to a pale ivory flat satin headband with the most beautiful soft sheen.
You can also choose the 'separate veil' option to receive the headband with a separate Merry Widow birdcage veil which you can clip onto your hair beneath the headband then simply lift the headband slightly to remove the veil partway through the day.
You can see how this works in the video of my Esme Birdcage Veil and separate headband which is the last in my carousel of images. This is a great option if you'd like to wear your veil and headband separately on the day - or after.
English Merry Widow veiling has a wider open weave than the fine French netting I use for some of my other birdcage veils so is more of a statement veil than its more delicate counterparts. Merry Widow veiling is a little stiffer than French netting, giving the veil a more structured and rounded shape than birdcage veiling.
The flat Alice band measures 24cm wide.
