This week I decided to join Snapchat - which means you now have the chance to take a behind the scenes look at life in the Debbie Carlisle studio every day!

I've been posting short videos all week showing my work in progress at the studio, as well as a few little videos of myself and even shots of my home and garden.

For those of you who aren't familiar with Snapchat this is an instant messaging app which you can use to follow friends and other people or businesses you like as they post small pieces of video footage or photographs throughout the day to create their own daily 'story'.

Unlike Instagram, for example, your Snapchat story only stays active on the app for 24 hours, which means the content you see is always changing and always fresh and new.

Because it's such a temporary way of sharing your life online it leads to a less 'curated', more authentic feed - so there's no worrying that you can't post something because the colours or style don't match the rest of your Instagram feed! 

I've been using it as a way to share exclusive behind the scenes content that you won't find anywhere else online - and hopefully it will appeal to those of you who would like to know more about me and my creative process.
