From our packaging to our materials, from the way we buy to the way we dispose of our waste, we’re constantly working to make Debbie Carlisle Ltd a sustainable wedding accessories supplier. We make our designs to order to avoid wasteful stockpiling of products and I purposely create versatile, wearable, slow fashion designs using high quality materials and lasting techniques so they can be worn again and again long after your wedding day.
We plant a tree for every accessory we sell on our website - you can see our live tally here via our partners Ecologi - where you can donate to their tree planting scheme yourself. We also donate to Ecologi to offset the business' overall impact on the environment and choose carbon neutral shipping options where possible
We use beautiful eco-friendly branded gift boxes, tissue paper and postal packaging. Everything is recyclable although I recommend keeping your accessory in its gift box. If there is white tissue paper inside your gift box I recommend keeping this with your accessory as this will be jewellers acid-free tissue paper to keep it in the best possible condition.
The vast majority of the crystals and pearls we use are sustainably-produced and we also use sustainable satin ribbons for our ribbon tie headbands. The feel, quality, and the way the ribbons drape are exactly the same as standard satin ribbons but, incredibly, these beautiful ribbons are made from recycled bottles. My bespoke bouquet designs re-use vintage jewellery to create a sustainable hand-crafted heirloom work of art to be treasured and used by generations to come.
