How to choose your wedding hair accessories during lockdown

Weddings might be on pause but it doesn't mean you have to stop planning - even if it means you have to do it a little differently.

There's plenty you can do while on lockdown to plan how to accessorise your hair - and it might just be the perfect time to do it if you've got a bit of time on your hands.

Depending on your wedding date you might be wondering if you'll be able to have a hair trial - for many this is key to deciding how to accessorise your hair. Some brides choose their headpiece in advance and take it to their appointment for their hairstylist to work with, others will choose their hairstyle with their stylist first and then buy their headpiece. With all the uncertainty around Covid 19 restrictions being lifted it's worth thinking about choosing a hair accessory now so you have it ready to take your hair trial - or to your wedding if the timing is especially tight.

To help you to do this from lockdown I wrote an article for the Love My Dress wedding blog full of hints and tips, alongside lots of images of pieces I've chosen specifically to show how to accessorise different hairstyles. You'll also find my top tips for the most versatile hair accessories which can be styled with any wedding hair style - perfect if you're struggling to decide on a final look.

One of my top tips is to carry out your own hair trial at home with the aid of some Pinterest tutorials and the optional addition of a Zoom or House Party guest list to get your bridesmaids in on the wedding planning action. You could even make it part of a virtual hen party!
