Who: Ruth is the brains behind the luxury British shoe brand Harriet Wilde, coveted by designer-loving brides around the world who are looking for beautiful bridal shoes which combine elegant luxury with a vintage sensibility. Ruth’s designs are available in flat and heeled styles and include shoes made from lace, laser-cut leather and her instantly-recognisable selection of designs featuring stunning jewelled floral embellishments on the heel - my personal favourites!
What: Ruth set up Harriet Wilde (named after her grandmother) in 2008 after she struggled to find the perfect heels to wear with her vintage lace wedding dress. Ruth was already working as a shoe designer and spotted a gap in the market for beautiful designer wedding shoes. Before long Ruth’s designs were being stocked in Harrods and today her shoes are stocked by bridal boutiques and online stores all over the world. Brides can choose from Ruth’s ready to wear range or can have bespoke shoes made to order in any colour or style.
Where: Buy online from www.harrietwilde.com or visit Ruth’s London showroom by appointment only at Studio 21c, Bickerton House, 25-27 Bickerton Road, London, N19 5JT. Telephone +44 (0) 207 263 4147.
When: Ruth will be joining me for a fabulous wedding accessory styling event at my midlands stockist Cicily Bridal on the evening of Thursday March 10 from 4pm to 8pm.
