This ethereal photoshoot featuring my Maeve crystal crown by the incredible Californian bridal label Dahl Collection is a masterclass in wedding accessory styling - and the perfect example of how choosing a headpiece for your wedding that complements your gown, venue, and theme can elevate your look. 
An Ethereal Wonderland
To say I was thrilled when designer Alyssa Dahl selected my Maeve ethereal wedding crown to team with one of her exquisite gowns is an understatement. I've been a huge Dahl Collection fan for a while now, I just love the free-spirited ethereal vibe of their gowns and the intricate bespoke detailing.
These spectacular free-spirited images were shot at ancient salt flats in California, for Dahl Collection’s Wonderland wedding dress line. The Wonderland line is inspired by the evolution of ancient salt flats - a natural wonder formed centuries ago by the evaporation of a great lake. Each gown in the collection is designed to reflect a different stage of this evolution, from lush ancient times to the formation of mineral-rich salt deposits and mirror-like glassy surfaces.
The Zephyr Gown
This is the Dahl Collection Zephyr gown. Named after the Greek god of the west wind, the dress has a drop-waist corset and is adorned with a delicate asymmetrical tulle overlay to create the illusion of a vanishing lake.
Hand-sewn scattered flowers and leaves add a touch of sparkle, as if they were gently carried by the wind and placed upon the bride's body. The draped fabric accentuates the figure and cascades into a plunging slit and full hemline, to create a free-spirited, nature-inspired ethereal look that is perfectly suited to its environment.
The Maeve Crown: A Perfect Match
The Maeve ethereal wedding crown, with its intricate clear crystal strands, was the perfect bridal headpiece to complement the Zephyr gown. The crown's barely-there quality allows it to shimmer and shine in the natural light, interacting with its surroundings to come in and out of view, much like the magical vanishing lake illusion created by the gown.
