Debbie Carlisle Wins Best UK Wedding Jewellery & Accessories 2026

I’m still not entirely sure I’ve come back down to earth.

At a glittering ceremony at London’s iconic The Dorchester - complete with ballerinas, acrobatics and a real-life red carpet walk - I was named the best UK Wedding Jewellery & Accessories Designer at the UK Weddings & Honeymoons Awards.

Even writing those words feels surreal.

As a bridal accessories designer creating handmade wedding jewellery and headpieces from my studio in Sheffield for brides across the UK and beyond, this recognition means more than I can properly express.

But before anything else, I want to start here, with you.

A Love Letter to My Brides

This award arrives in my 17th year as a wedding jewellery designer - and truly, it belongs to you. My past, current and future brides.

What began with designing my own bridal headpieces because I couldn’t find the unique style and craftsmanship I was searching for has grown into a values-led, sustainability-conscious brand rooted in thoughtful design and meticulous handcrafting.

Every piece is still handmade to order in my Sheffield studio.
Every crystal and pearl is wired by hand.
Every silk and textile element carefully chosen and sewn.

And at the centre of it all: you.

Because this has never just been about bridal accessories. It has always been about the woman wearing it - your story, your style, your family history, your sense of self.

The emails where you describe your dress. The excitement about your venue. The way you want to feel walking down the aisle.

Designing handmade bridal accessories that become part of one of the most important days of your life is a responsibility I never take lightly.

To be recognised nationally after more than 16 years of dedication to craftsmanship and design evolution feels extraordinary. But awards are a moment.

You are the reason.

This belongs to the brides who trust me with heirloom-inspired wedding jewellery and modern statement headpieces alike. The brides who choose botanical details, sculptural minimalism, soft veils or bold contemporary designs.

All of it matters.
All of it led here.
And none of it happens without you.

A Beautiful Shared Experience

One of the most meaningful parts of the UK Wedding Awards experience was sharing it with Lois Cora, who has worked, assisted and collaborated with me for more than a decade.

Lois began her career in the wedding industry working alongside me in my studio and has since become an exceptional bridal hair and makeup artist in her own right - so it was only fitting that she was also nominated in her category at the UKWHAs.

Standing on the Dorchester red carpet together, both recognised for the work we’ve built - sometimes shoulder to shoulder, sometimes cheering each other on - felt incredibly full-circle.

The UK Weddings & Honeymoons Awards Ceremony

To be shortlisted by Weddings & Honeymoons Magazine for an award in my category of bridal jewellery and accessories felt like meaningful industry recognition.

To then hear my name called out in that magnificent ballroom at The Dorchester, surrounded and cheered on by some of the UK’s most talented wedding creatives, was unforgettable.

The three days leading up to the ceremony were filled with connection, conversation and collaboration at a series of events laid on by the magazine to promote idea sharing. It was a powerful reminder that the wedding industry is built on shared creativity and mutual support.

The awards night itself was, quite literally, glittering - black tie, sparkle and a room full of extraordinary talent celebrating the very best in British weddings. And as you can probably tell by my face, I was thrilled!

With Heartfelt Thanks

I am deeply grateful to the team at Weddings & Honeymoons Magazine for this recognition.

My especial thanks go to group editor Eleonora Tucci and features editor, head of judges and host Callum Topazio for their support and encouragement, and to the judges for recognising the heart, sustainability values and craftsmanship behind my bridal accessories.

And to my fellow nominees, what an honour to stand alongside you.

What Comes Next

Winning UK Wedding Jewellery & Accessories of the Year 2026 isn't just a celebratory moment, it’s an inspiration to continue refining, evolving and honouring craftsmanship in a fast-moving bridal world.

On that subject after the awards I extended my stay in London to visit some of my favourite textile suppliers, returning to Sheffield with a suitcase full of beautiful fabrics and a head full of ideas.

New bridal accessory designs are already in development, along with collaborations with some of this year’s winners and nominees and I’m so excited to see what we can produce.

For now though, I’m allowing myself a moment to pause and feel proud.

Thank you for being part of this journey. It means more than you could know.
