Join Me at the Indie Wedding Fair, Sunday 6th September

If you're planning a wedding that feels entirely your own, I'd love to see you at the Indie Wedding Fair in my home city of Sheffield on Sunday 6th September. I'll be showing designs from my new collection, Muse, for the first time in person, alongside lots of other favourites from my bridal accessories collection.

It's a fair I've exhibited at before, and I always come away energised by the sheer creativity in a room full of people who love what they do – and who love their couples just as much.

What to Expect

Ellie, who founded the Indie Wedding Fair in 2015, created it as an antidote to the more corporate wedding shows she encountered when planning her own wedding. Ten years on, that founding spirit is still very much intact: a room full of independent creatives who care deeply about their craft, and couples who want a day that feels like them rather than a template.

The Steamworks is an extraordinary industrial space in Sheffield's Highfield area - just around the corner from my studio. It's full of character, with a fully licensed bar and a warm, unpretentious atmosphere. It's a brilliant backdrop for a fair built around independent talent, and this year's line-up spans celebrants, florists, photographers, musicians, planners, stylists and other creative wedding businesses – all bringing their own ideas and personality to the day.

Meet Me and Explore My Collection

I'll be bringing an edit of my bridal accessories to The Steamworks: veils, headpieces, crowns and jewellery, each piece made by hand by me in my Sheffield studio.

This is a lovely, opportunity to see my designs up close, try pieces on, and get a proper feel for how a veil sits or a headpiece catches the light - it's a great alternative to a private consultation in my studio and is ideal if you just want to get an idea of the quality of my work and see the variety of styles I offer.

You're welcome to drop by any time between 11am and 4pm, browse at your own pace, and chat as much or as little as you like. If you find something you love, we can talk it through there and then, including bespoke options if you have something particular in mind.

Why Attend

Beyond the exhibitors, there's a genuine sense of community to this fair that's hard to find elsewhere. Add in a licensed bar, wedding food vendors, and ten years of championing talented and hard-working independent wedding creatives, and it's shaping up to be a wonderful way to spend a Sunday if you're planning a wedding.

Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome, and children aged 16 and under can attend for free with a paying adult. The event is held on the ground floor of a fully accessible venue.

There's also on-street parking nearby, which is free on Sundays. If you're local to Sheffield, walking, getting a lift or taking a taxi/Uber is a great option too – especially if you'd like to enjoy the fully licensed bar.

How to Get Your Tickets

General admission is £3.50, and you can book your tickets via Eventbrite or simply pay on the door with cash or card. Pre-booking is recommended, and pre-booked tickets have priority entry.

If you'd like a VIP Goodie Bag, those are £10, limited in number and only available when booking in advance. The VIP ticket includes a curated goodie bag and a drink from the bar, so it's worth reserving one early if that appeals.

For full details on the day and the wider list of exhibitors, visit the Indie Wedding Fair website or follow @indieweddingfair on Instagram.
